Stuck in a Rut? 5 Tips to Getting Out Of It.
Feeling stuck? Try this....
1) Call it out!!!

What are you doing instead?
2) Change something!
Pick one thing you can start to change.
Pray your way through it! Ask God for guidance and strength
4) Get it done before you change your mind.
5) Add some positivity to your daily life!
I'm famous for procrastinating on cleaning the house.
What should I be doing? Cleaning
What am I doing instead? Watching the never ending Netflix (Don't judge)
So what can you start implementing????? Here's what tends to work for me in a variety of areas.....
Set limits for yourself if needed. Yes, we're adults and shouldn't need this, but sometimes, we do.
For example, I'll just clean the kitchen today and I'll watch tv when I'm finished. Or, I'm cleaning the house today, so no tv until tomorrow. Find what works for you.
Always go to God about everything. Ask Him to help you create this change, to prioritize,...... In fact, if God is your thing, (I understand if He's not, I was there once too, however, I encourage you to give Him a chance), go to Him first thing every morning for prayer. Spend time building a relationship with Him each and every day. You'll be amazed at the changes in your life.
Get it done before you change your mind!
If we give ourselves too much time, we will talk ourselves out of it. Ex. after this show, I'll do it tomorrow, when the weather's better,...... Just do it. Trust me, I'm talking to myself here too. My morning is devoted to my time with God, so I exercise after work. I know myself well enough to know that if I don't change into my workout clothes and workout as soon as I get home, I will sit down, grab a book or turn on the tv instead and my workout will not happen. When I find myself wanting to do that more often, I switch my workout back to morning time, wake up earlier, and, I'll be honest, I sometimes will sleep in my workout clothes (Again, don't judge.) This way I know I'm ready plus I don't wake up my hubby and I'm less likely to fall back into that rut.
Add Positivity to your life!
Are you surrounding yourself with negativity from the outside world??? How about adding some positive uplifting music, books, and/or podcasts? I do all of the above at different times of the week. In the grocery store, working out, cleaning house, and sometimes in the car, you may see me with my headphones on for some uplifting podcast or music time. I've really just started being more consistent with this over the past year and it has made a HUGE difference.
We all have moments of being stuck and not knowing what to do or where to go. Stuck can also mean a variety of things. Stuck can be in a relationship, facing a big decision, something work related,........It is not limited to the examples I've given but the concept is the same. These examples are simply a guideline for using the planned tips. It doesn't happen overnight but if you keep applying them and moving forward, it will happen. Remember to continue to bring God into it. He's our audience and our biggest supporter.
Don't try and make a bunch of changes at once. That's just setting yourself up for failure.
Take baby steps. Pick one thing and then move onto the next thing, and then the next....
You'll feel you have some control in the situation. You'll feel lighter and more productive.
